Hello! My name is Cathy Rosewell Jonas, LCSW. Our team at EPIC Healing Eugene (Eugene Psychedelic Integrative Center) is a mix of mental health and medical professionals, and supportive healing staff. We are pleased to offer our community and those who find us a variety of healing and transformational services. EPIC Healing Eugene is a small boutique style healing center, a setting conducive for specialized supportive services focused on healing, renewal, integration, awakening, and embodiment, for those desiring an individualized, or limited small group (2-3 people) experience. Welcome to EPIC Healing Eugene's Service Center. Our Waitlist is now open for supportive, healing service with Psilocybin. Preparation Sessions Offered. We offer preparation sessions, a safe setting, trusted facilitators and support staff that gently support you in having the protected and sacred space for meeting the medicine. We gentle support and encourage you in your unique and individual process of being guided by your inner intelligence to explore your heart and most tender inner landscape. Our skilled and nurturing staff provide coaching to support your transformational and healing process that will continue to unfold often months after the actual medicine session. Our integration sessions are important in processing and meaning making on what happened during your psilocybin experience, to understand and work with expanded and contracted mind, spiritual, and emotional states, and bring the precious insights gained while in your heightened conscious and open hearted state back into your daily life. That's what we're good at. How much is a psilocybin Experience?
For higher psilocybin dose experiences, our anticipated price range is 3,000 (limit of 2-3 people per room), or 3500 a session (for 1:1 with Licensed Integrative Therapist). For lower dose supportive experiences, with less medicine, our starting range is 1500-1700 a session.
We also offer progressive micro-macro experiences (4 weekly meetings, optional dose increase each session). A variety of healing and experiential themes. 500-750 a week group experiences vs 1:1 sessions with licensed psychedelic therapist. Sliding scale discounted rates based on when funds are available through EPIC'S PAY IT FORWARD/ ABUNDANCE FUND. This private fund is sustained by those feeling abundant to help others, and will continue to be fed by EPIC's successful practice of service.
EPIC is exploring alternative options for providing discounted group rates, as part of coordinating with a larger retreat center. TBA.
Will my medical insurance cover? Medical Insurance does not cover the psilocybin assisted therapy session. Some Preparation and Integration Sessions may be covered. |
WHAT PSYCHEDELIC SERVICES ARE OFFERED?
We offer Individualized Psychedelic Preparation and Integration Sessions & Group Integration Sessions. We utilize a Harm-Reduction Approach, and teach a variety of self-help strategies to help clients prepare for and then gain the most out of their transformational experiences. We believe in having a partnership in our work with people, which is formed by the pillars of mutual respect, rapport building, respect for the medicine, and trust in client's inner healer/ intelligence as the most important participant in being able to take away a sustained healing experience, and bring these experiential insights into their daily life. EPIC plans to offer psilocybin assisted therapy starting in June 2023. Referrals accepted beginning April 2023. What about Psilocybin? IS EPIC Healing Eugene going to Offer that? When?
Thanks for your continued interest. Yes, we are planning to offer psilocybin in our approved service center setting (application pending). Cathy will become a Licensed Oregon Psilocybin Facilitator March/April 2023. We are now accepting referrals to our wait list. Contact will be made with you including requesting that you fill out intake paperwork, which will be followed by a 15 minute free consult, and further medical/mental health screening as indicated. Next, we'll move to scheduling the first of three preparation sessions once screened as eligible for services. EPIC hopes to provide psychedelic assisted therapy services with psilocybin June 2023. How Do I schedule a Psychedelic Preparation or INtegration Session?
As part of our screening process to make sure that you are mentally, emotionally, and psychologically prepared for a future psilocybin experience, generally 1-3 preparation sessions will be scheduled with Cathy Rosewell Jonas, LCSW, who offers short-term counseling sessions focused on psychedelic preparation and/or integration of a psychedelic experience, or another Integrative therapist who is part of the EPIC Team. 
What happens during a PREPARATION or INTEGRATION SESSIONS WITH INTEGRATIVE THERAPIST?
We encourage at least one individual preparation session before your medicine experience. This is important and can help you get more out of your experience, and can set the tone for you going into your psilocybin experience or your whole ketamine series. Trust and rapport building are important to this process, as the more you can relax into your experience the more you'll be able to welcome the medicine and healing support of the EPIC staff.
EPIC's Psychedelic Preparation and Integration sessions are specialized counseling sessions with Cathy Rosewell Jonas, LCSW, or one of our psychedelic integrative counselors. They typically take about an hour. A variety of clinical modalities are provided including internal family systems, EMDR (bilateral resource tapping), mindfulness, self-hypnosis and anchoring strategies, mindfulness and spiritual coaching, and guided healing meditations and shamanic journeys to help client's best prepare for a transformational healing experience, and then later access the powerful and inspiring feelings and emotions that were pivotal during psychedelic experience.
Cathy's counseling style is focused on supportive harm-reduction, as well as teaching self-healing and self-soothing transformational strategies. Her guidance helps you approach your private or guided psychedelic experiences with intentionality and better preparedness so you get the most out of your experience. Cathy is available to help you explore your unique situation, whether the timing is right for you to engage in this type of journey, or whether waiting may be in your best interest. Along with preparation, Cathy then offers follow-up integration sessions, so you can process your experience. *Cathy does not provide medicine, contacts for medicine, or psilocybin assisted therapy in this context, just preparation and integration support in professional office setting.* These in person or via zoom session are either private pay (sliding scale rate of 185-150). If you have a qualifying mental healing diagnosis, insurance can be used after completing Cathy's counseling screening & paperwork. There are limited weekly open slots for these sessions. Cathy will keep a wait list for those interested. The Role of the Integrative Therapist, What to expect, and Lessons learned from Working with Ayahuasca, Psilocybin, and Ketamine.
Integration is a key component in educating and empowering clients, helping them bring back what they've experienced during their psychedelic and healing experience into their daily life.
In the case of the Amazonian plant medicine, Ayahuasca, the integration process can take a year or longer following a ceremony. Integration is an ongoing process.
The action of psychedelic's neurogenesis process last longer than the actual experience. This can vary. In the case of ketamine it can continue for days (generally 24-72 hours at the peak of the window of neuroplasticity, up to six days). Pairing ketamine and integration therapy, for example, makes for a more enduring healing experience and prolongs the benefits of the ketamine sessions.
An Integrative Counselor has specialized training in working with psychedelics and helping clients make sense of their experiences, as well as offering a variety of professional clinical modalities to assist clients harvest the most out of their altered state experiences, in which there is greater access to subconscious thoughts, memories, and spiritual healing.
Sessions focus on creating an increased sense of comfort as you go into your session, intention setting, relaxation, healing modalities, and other helpful hints for navigating your upcoming altered state experience. Integration-counseling sessions are ideally scheduled a day to three days following the session, or the following week. There are never too many integration sessions. HOW CAN I GET THE MOST OUT OF MY PSYCHEDELIC EXPERIENCE? How many Psychedelic Sessions will I need?
It is EPIC's highest wish what those who come to us for the healing services we offer, in conjunction with the medicine, can help clients reach their heartfelt intentions of healing and transformation. Our team strives to help everyone get the most out of their psychedelic experience, and therefore, stress the importance of preparation and integration.
WHAT IS NEUROFEEDBACK AND HOW IS IT HELPFUL?
We offer neurofeedback as part of our Eugene Neurofeedback practice. This is another healing modality, like psilocybin, ketamine, and other psychedelics, that strengthen neuropathways to support personal growth, resiliency building, and management of chronic symptoms such as anxiety, depression, PTSD symptoms, pain, cognitive concerns, mood management, insomnia, and assists with integrating challenging life events related to chronic stress and trauma. We have a waitlist for counseling with neurofeedback. We accept insurance funding and private pay. HOW DOES NEUROFEEDBACK SUPPORT HEALING, and PSYCHEDELIC Preparation and Integration?
Neurofeedback training helps calm fears and enhances emotional regulation, making it a great tool for healing, preparing us emotionally, psychologically, and physiologically for a deeper transformational or personal growth experience. Whether taking a pilgrimage of the heart to Peru for an ayahuasca retreat, engaging in intensive EMDR work with a therapist, or preparing for a professionally guided psychedelic experience, neurofeedback is a helpful ally in the personal growth process. Supporting the healing shifts experienced, by calming the brain and nervous system, makes neurofeedback a powerful tool of integration. In addition to our Infra-low neurofeedback frequency settings, we offer two other specialized neurofeedback programs, Synchrony and Alpha-Theta training. Similar to the action of psychedelics, these specialized brain training programs calm the Default Mode Network, helping us to think outside the box, so we can gain healing perspective, while facing with courage, self-compassion, and neutrality the self-limiting thinking and behaviors that have been holding us back from thriving. Needless to say, we are big fans of neurofeedback! Those who receive psychedelic healing services with us move up on our waitlist. We're holding off for now on offering Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy, except for some retreats.
